XY Materials Deposition Systems
The XY Materials Deposition Systems, or XY MDS, are flexible precision tools for developing industrial processes utilizing UV inks, biological fluids, and electronic materials. They provide developers with a flexible, sophisticated platform for the development of inkjet based production processes, jettable fluids, and the analysis of the interaction between fluids and solid substrates in a lab-ready, enclosed printing environment.
The system enables precise drop placement of jettable fluids onto a wide range of substrates - a requirement for process development in many industrial applications of inkjet technology. Positional repeatability is ± 1µm, with overall accuracy across a 12” x 12” (305mm x 305mm) platen of 14 µm.
The XY MDS is a proven system used in process and fluid development by industrial users, ink developers, and print head suppliers in applications such as the development of UV curable inks, conductive fluids, printable electronics, biological applications and jettable adhesives.
iTi’s XY systems feature a class ten thousand clean room capable test environment, supporting from one to eight printheads - depending on manufacturer and application requirements. The systems operate in both ambient and controlled environments, and offer exceptional flexibility in printhead layout and print functions.
